John Phillips b. circa 1735 had at least two wives. The only certain one was named Diannah whose surname at the time of the marriage may have been Hicks. It is believed that John, like Gabriel, may have been in Bucks Co. PA. Both John and Gabriel were in Loudoun Co. VA for several years. Thence John moved to Rowan Co. and Gabriel to Newberry Co. SC.
