J. Robert Quillin of Patrick Co., VA€ but late a soldier in the 1st Regiment do hereby constitute Jonathan Unthank of the County of Surry and State of North Carolina my lawful attorney€ to receive to his own use€ bounty of land from the United States for my services in the Revolutionary War with Great Brittain€ signed 20 Aug 1807€ Surry County, NC€ 20 Aug 1807 Jesse Franklin and Jacob McCraw, acting Justices of the Peace of the aforesaid county€ Charles Ross€ make the ??? in due form that he was personally acquainted with Robert Quillin late soldier in the 1st VA Reg€ was made a prisoner with himself at the fall of Charleston€ but does not know how or what manner he was deposed of afterwards€ land warrant for 100 acres issued, #392, Feb 2, 1808€
