Nicholas Smith of Bladen County to Thos. Collins of same for 30 pds Virginia money, 450 acres south of Deep River on Buck Creek, whole patent, it being the land and plantation where the said Nicholas Smith settled and cleared. Witnesses Thomas Richardson and Robert Lee. Cumberland County Deed Book 2-16.
